Fee: |
The Annual Report filing fee is $75. The annual franchise tax, included on the annual report, is computed by multiplying your corporation's paid-in capital by the franchise tax rate of 0.1%. The minimum tax is $25 and is NOT part of the $75 filing fee.

An annual report form must be filed each year within 60 days immediately preceding the first day of the anniversary month of incorporating (or in the case of a corporation that has established an extended filing month, the extended filing month of the corporation each year). |
Corporation Tax Returns

Tax: |
The income tax rate is 4.8% of the corporation's net income. In addition, Illinois assesses a personal property replacement tax based on net income (2.5% for corporations, 1.5% for S corporations and all other incorporated entities) on all businesses.

Form IL-1120 (or 1120-ST) is due on or before the 15th day of the 3rd month following the close of the tax year, March 15th for calendar year filings. If the original due date of your federal return is later than the 15th day of the 3rd month, your Illinois due date will be the same as your federal due date. |

LLC Tax Returns

If you file as a corporation for federal tax purposes, you are treated as a corporation in Illinois and file IL-1120. The income tax rate is 4.8% of the company's net income. In addition, Illinois assesses a personal property replacement tax based on net income (2.5% for corporations, 1.5% for S corporations and all other incorporated entities) on all businesses. If you file as a Partnership, you will need to use form IL-1065.
